A poodle out of a poodle!

I made a toy poodle out of my poodle Jazelle. I used her hair from a grooming and blended it with some wool to help it hold together and knit up a poodle with the yarn I spun.

My Studio Space

I revamped my studio. Now I can see the floor!

New Project - Day Dreams

I have decided to start a small Hand Painted Yarn business. I've named it "Day Dreams". I made a skein winder, bought some yarn of various sizes and content. I have already sold some of the Bamboo/cotton and some of the rayon. This week I plan to do a bunch of wool yarns.
Wish me luck on my new adventure!
I'll be posting what I have available here so if you want some - let me know! I think I will get a web site going once I get ready with enough dyed. The top picture is some of what I have ready. The Rayon is on the left and on the right is the Bamboo/Cotton.

Kristina's Scarf

Kristina (my daughter) came to visit at Xmas. She wove a scarf while she was here. I set up the warp because of the time involved on her visit and she did the weaving. She did an awesome job! It was her 1st time at the loom. It's chenille with a wavy pattern in it and some teal running through it. Her edges are perfect.

A hat and mitts for me

Made this hat out of some hand spun. I only had a small amount of it so I found some yarn in my stash that matched well enough (It matches better than the photo makes it look) and made fingerless mitts to go with it. I think I will make more fingerless mitts - they are fun and fast. And fun to wear!

Ski Bunny Hat

Here is a hat I made for my niece. She lives near Tahoe and likes to play in the snow.

GA National Fair

I did well at the fair this year. Very well actually! I won 1st for a pair of hand spun socks, a dish towel. A 2nd on my Angora trimmed hat. A 3rd on the cabled indigo sweater. The Dragonfly scarves won 2 2nd and a 3rd. My felted elf won a 3rd. And several ribbons for my skeins.
The best ribbons were for my Glacier scarf - A big Purple and a blue!
And my Natural dyed mohair cardigan won a 1st and the award of excellence from "Sheepish Knit" in Decatur GA.! I went up last week to visit the shop (and claim my prize). It's a really nice shop. Stop in if you are in the area.
All and all - I couldn't be happier with my Fair winnings. It's fun to be recognized for all the work that went into my projects.

Mr Foster

It's been a long time since my last post!
This is Mr Fosters. I made him for my daughter for Christmas. He has a bit of lint on his head, but its too late now - he's in California. My daughter is in Nursing School so I made him to be her "study buddy". The COC on his scrub is her school logo. He was a bit of a challenge to make, but worth it for my girl !
