Slipper Socks for Christmas

These are Slipper Socks. I made a pair of blue ones for my brother and these green ones are for my neice. They live in Truckee near Reno where it's cold, so they should enjoy these!

The Gift of Socks

Aarrgg! I made these here socks for me daughter for Christmas. I think they are really fun. I think I'll make a pair for me too!

Another Gift

This is a muff that I made for my sister. The pattern is an original one. I love cables. This was the 1st time I worked them in the round. It was a challenge planning the pattern to be the right size, but as you can see - it worked!
My sister lives in Boise, so she can appreciate the warmth of a muff. The picture doesn't really do it justice, but here it is anyway.
The inside is made with a blend of Aaron (an Angora Rabbit) and Patrick (a Romney Lamb). The inside was made from Iris a Corridale/Merino ewe. All hand spun of course.

Gifts Given

Now that Christmas is over I can show you the gifts that I made.
These are some Kitchen Towels that I gave to my Sister - she got the blue one's, a friend in Sarasota - the turquoise. She got a yellow one too. And the Christmas red and green went to my neighbor. I think everyone liked them.
They are a Summer/Winter pattern. I really like the way they came out. I also made one for me with a yellow weft and olive green pattern.

A New Hat

Remember a while back I showed you a light blue sweater that I knit back in Nov '07 ? Well I wanted to wear it the other evening and it was really cold, so I decided to make a hat to match. I love the set together or separate!

Merry Christmas!

Molly Manikin got dressed up in green and red for the holiday!

Basket Day

My spinning friends came over yesterday and we made baskets. Everyone made a beautiful basket. I had a lot of fun sharing the day with them. Here is my basket!

Molly Manikin

I bought a manikin to show off my work. I know it's vane, but I put so much work into the shawls that it seems a shame to store them in the closet. I can change het outfit whenever I want. I think it's cool!
