This is Michael, my Angora Goat. This past weekend we sheared him and his brother Marley. It was my 1st time shearing them myself (with the help if my husband holding them). It took a long time! I'm glad I have someone else to do it in the spring!

They look kind of embarrassed with their new hair cuts - but just think of all the things I can make with all that Mohair!

And viola! A pair of Self Stripping Mystery Wool Socks! I love them and for my 1st attempt at making stripping yarn, I think it worked out quite well.

...Wrapped it into a skien

Then I laid it all out on the pool table to keep it from tangling while I wrapped it on to my kniddy-knoddy.

Then I dyed each of the 5 sections in a different color Kool-Aid, I used Ziplocks and the microwave.

Then I wrapped it around (and around) 2 kitchen chairs and divided it w/ ties into 5 relatively equal parts.

OK - time for some Fiber Blogging!
This is my spinning wheel. It' s where the magic begins. I started this project with some wool that a friend gave to me from his sheep (not sure which sheep it came from so I call it "mystery wool").

Hi,
This is my Poodle Jazzelle. As you can see - she's pink!
I've just started this blog so I thought I would introduce you to her 1st. She just had puppies - sooo cute! She loves to do obedience but I don't show her anymore. It's too time consuming and as you will see, my Blog is going to be mostly about knitting and spinning and the animals my fiber comes from.
Hope you enjoy it!
