I got my loom set up and I've started weaving! A friend helped me (for 2 days!) and taught me a lot. We warped it and started 4 place mats. I'm making each of them a bit different just so I can practice patterns. It's fun!

I still have a couple more things that I made but the pictures seem to have been eaten up by my computer, so I'll have to try to get pictures again...
This is a simple scarf that I made for my niece. She lives in Tahoe so I figured she could use a scarf!
These are the socks I made for my husband. I gave him these and a box of yarn w/ a promise of more socks. I have one of them (1/2 a pair) finished. He likes them :-)

Then I knitted and knitted. And here is my shawl. It's the falling leaves pattern. The pin is similar to the one I sent to my sister. This is not a Christmas gift. I made it for me.
This is my first sheep to shawl project. I started with the fiber from Marley, the Angora Goat you met in an earlier post. I washed it, Carded it on my drum carder (very time consuming) and spun it into yarn.
This is the hat I made for my husband. He wears it every morning when we go out to feed the horses and during the day if it's cold!
I also made these Grandma and Grandpa Teddy Bears for a friend.
After I finished the shawl I decided that it was a bit to short, so I picked up the stitches along the ends and added another pattern section. I think it looks better with that added. My sister is really happy with it. I also had a small iron shawl pin made for her but forgot to take a picture before I sent it off...
Ok now that Christmas is over I can post the items I made for people. To start with, this is a shawl I made for my sister. It is made with the Lord of the Rings yarn (like the rabbit in an earlier post).
I live in South Georgia with my husband, our dogs, cats, horses, sheep, goats, chickens. a rabbit and a canary. keeps me busy but I still find time to knit, spin (hence the sheep and the Angora Goats and Rabbit) and dabble in rug hooking.
